Worth of Scholarships
The Government of Canada Scholarships is valued at CAD 10,200 or CAD 12,700 depending on study duration.
Use of Funds
The funds should be used towards;
1.visa or study-work permit fees,
2.airfare for the scholarship recipient only through the most direct and economical route,
3.health insurance,
4.living expenses, such as accommodation, utilities, and food,
5.ground transportation, including a public transportation pass; and food
6.books and supplies required for the candidate’s study or research, excluding computers and other equipment.
Eligibility Criteria for the Scholarships
To be eligible for Government of Canada Scholarships, you must be from one of the following eligible countries/territories:
Asia: Bangladesh, Nepal, Taiwan;
Europe: Turkey, Ukraine;
Middle East and North Africa: Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Libya, Morocco, Tunisia;
Sub-Saharan Africa: Burkina Faso, Tanzani, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, Ethiopia, Uganda.
Requirements to apply for the scholarship
- You must be enrolled as a full-time student at a post-secondary institution in a qualified country/territory paying tuition fees to that institution at the time of application and for the full duration of the exchange to be qualified.
2.Note that the Canadian post-secondary institution must be a Designated Learning Institution (DLI).
